CHAPTER 6 Redundant Configuration

 

Redundant configuration can be adopted as basic configuration for each cooling 
system in units of individual fans, with the fans mounted on a FAN tray.

(2) PRIMEQUEST 440

Redundant configuration is the same as for the PRIMEQUEST 480 family.

Redundancy of Private LAN and Management 

LAN

The management board (MMB) manages the PRIMEQUEST system as a whole.  

Figure 6.2

 shows connections to management LANs and private LANs from the 

MMBs in the PRIMEQUEST 480 cabinet.

A CPU in an MMB and a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) mounted on a 
BMM in an IO_Unit manage partitions in a cabinet.  A BMC performs management 
in partitions.  An MMB manages functions common across the cabinet and partitions.
