Operation of binder dosing system

Checking the bitumen tank

Fig. 178

Make sure that for hot bitumen the bitumen
temperature is at least 180 °C (Fig. 178).

A pre-pressure of 0.5 bar must be possible.

Hitch up the tanker

Fig. 179

Remove the tow bar (Fig. 179) from the hood
flap.

Fig. 180

Couple the MPH to the tanker (Fig. 180).

Danger

Danger of burning!

The suction hose is hot.

Wear heat proof gloves!

Remove the blank cover from the suction
hose.

Connect the suction hose and use the clamp-
ing bracket to secure it against twisting.

Open the Peet valve (2).

Open the shut-off tap (1) on the tanker.
