the reduction gear on the
rear axle

Check the function of the breather valve

Caution

Do not clean the breather valve with a high
pressure water jet. Water may enter!

6.30 Check the oil level in the

rear axle

Note

The rear axle must be horizontally on level ground.

Clean and unscrew the oil filler and level con-
trol plug on left and right hand side (Fig. 265).

The oil level should reach the bottom edge of
the level inspection bore, if necessary fill up oil
through the filler opening.

For quality and quantity of oil refer to the "table
of fuels and lubricants".

Clean the oil filler and inspection plug and
screw it back in tightly.
