VII. CLEANING
Cleaning the cuff pressure gauge
Disinfection can be performed by wiping, using commercial alcohol-based surface
disinfectants. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
CAUTION!
It is never permissible to immerse the device in liquids or to clean it under run-
ning water! The device cannot be conditioned or sterilized by machine!
Cleaning the connecting tube
The outside may be cleaned/disinfected exclusively with sterile saline solution (0.9%
NaCl) followed by drying with a soft, lint-free cloth or with a suitable alcoholbased
surface disinfectant compatible with the material.
CAUTION!
It is never permissible to immerse the connecting tube in liquids or to clean it
under running water!
If the inside of the connecting tube is dirty or if damage is visible, the connec
-
ting tube must be properly disposed of immediately.
The connecting tube must be replaced at the latest 7 days after the packa-
ging has been opened or in conformity with the requirements of the healthcare
standard.
VIII. LEGAL NOTICES

liability for functional deficiencies, injuries, infections, and/or other complications or
other adverse events caused by unauthorised product alterations or improper use,
care, and/or handling.
In particular, Andreas Fahl Medizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH will not accept any liability
for damages caused by modifications to the cuff pressure gauge or repairs, if these
modifications or repairs were not carried out by the manufacturer himself. This applies
both to damages to the cuff pressure gauge themselves caused thereby and to any
consequential damages caused thereby.
Should a serious adverse event occur in connection with this product of Andreas Fahl Me-
dizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH, this is to be reported to the manufacturer and the competent
authority of the Member State in which the user and/or patient are domiciled.
If the cuff pressure gauge is used beyond the period of use, and/or if they are used
or maintained (cleaned) in non-compliance with the instructions and specifications
laid down in these instructions for use, Andreas Fahl Medizintechnik-Vertrieb GmbH
will, as far as legally permissible, be free of any liability, including liability for defects.
