From the Windows
Start
menu run the “TFTP Server” application, select
path
Start

All Programs

Local Terminal 0x.0y.0z

TFTP Server.
h.
Start the terminal session on the serial port, press <return> to display the
command prompt. Then type the following:-
printenv
<return> (This displays the Common Part IP Address)
setenv
<space>
serverip
<space>
150.150.150.16
<return> (PC’s ip address)
setenv
<space>
bootdelay
<space>
5
<return> (set a 5 sec boot delay)
saveenv
<return>
printenv
<return> (to print display settings)
i.
Remove the CP card from slot 1.
j.
Replace the Compact Flash card.
k.
Reinsert the CP card into slot 1, with the CF card fitted.
l.
At the second countdown press <
return
> key within 5 seconds.
m.
At the command prompt type the following:-
ver
<return>
Check that IPCP HLB (High Level Boot) is displayed.
printenv
<return>
Check IP addresses etc are displayed
loadcf
<return>……(now loads the CF)
n.
Wait for “Loadcf completed” to be displayed. On the tftp server look for the
transfer of “up.tar.bz2” file. This will take around 3 minutes.
o.
Wait for the command prompt “bash-2.05a#”, then type the following:-
reboot
<return>
p.
Wait around 3 min for the following to be displayed:-
Bank 1:
Not valid
Active
Bank 2:
Not valid
Not
active
Fatal:
No valid bank found!
