NOTE:

The customer must provide a computer to run the Discover

software application for the rack mount topside sonar interface box

option. Minimum computer requirements are found in sub-section

3.2.3

of this manual.

If the 6205s2-R Rack Mount Topside Interface Box does not turn on, check the on/off switch on the back

panel. It is located next to the power plug.

CAUTION!

When the 6205s2 is purchased with an OEM Integrated RTK

GNSS aided INS unit, there is no need to use the RS-232 or LAN ports to

receive data from peripheral GNSS/Heading/Motion sensors!

6205s2-S Stack Topside Interface

Custom minimal topsides are available on a case-by-case basis. Please contact your EdgeTech salesperson

for more information.

3.2.3

Topside Computer Requirements Specifications

The topside computer must be able to run EdgeTech’s Discover Bathymetric Acquisition Software and any

additional third-party software. To do so, it must include the following minimum requirements:

Discover preinstalled.

Installing additional software outside the provided EdgeTech

and third-party bathymetric software is NOT recommended. Installing

software other than those supplied can have undesirable effects, such as

poor and/or slow performance when acquiring Bathymetry and dual-

frequency Side Scan data. A list of approved third-party packages is
