6205s2 BATHYMETRIC AND SIDE SCAN SONAR

The 6205s2 is compatible with an OEM Integrated SBG Ekinox system. Edgetech does integrate and
configure the systems when purchased. The only configurations required of the customer are setting lever
arm and GNSS antenna positions in the SBG software, which are unique to each host platform.

Access the SBG software using the instructions for the SBG user manual.
NOTE:
EdgeTech has assigned the IP address
192.9.0.51
to the OEM.

Select Sensor on the left menu and the Lever Arms Tab at the top of the SBG Window. The Sensor
Lever Arms Primary Lever Arm Center of Rotation Level Arm (X,Y,Z) meter values should be
populated. These are the offsets from the IMU to the center of the vessel.
CAUTION!
Do not change any Monitoring Points values unless you’re sure
they should be changed. EdgeTech has set a Monitoring Point that is valid
for the Ethernet data output to be the Sonar Acoustic Center, so only
change these values when you do not wish for this and instead wish for
the SBG data to be valid at an alternative location.

Next, select the Aiding Settings Menu Item on the left and then the GPS1 Tab at the top. The
GNSS
Lever Arms Primary and Secondary Antenna (X,Y,Z) meter values should be entered
. These are
the offsets from the antennas to the IMU. No other Aiding Setting values should be changed.
