Wiring Connections
1.
Connect the power supply
(Figure 15, A)
.
WARNING! – Observe
connection polarity to prevent overheating the equipment which may
result in a fire.
2.
PXG600E power LED
(Figure 15, B)
illuminates.
3.
The
COM1, COM2A, COM2B and INCOM traffic indicators
(Figure 15, C, D, E and F respectively)
will flash Red, Green and
Yellow / Green while the unit boots. This is normal.
4.
Connect the INCOM port
(Figure 15, G)
of the PXG600E to the INCOM
network that includes the desired “downstream” devices. For more
information on wiring an INCOM network, see the
Eaton Electrical Field
Devices Communication Wiring Specification (TD 17513)
included on
your PXG600E CD-ROM. This document is also available at

5.
Connect the COM1
(Figure 15, H)
and / or
(Figure 15, I)
COM2 port of
the PXG600E to the Modbus RTU and / or QCPort network that includes
the desired “downstream” devices. For more information on wiring a
Modbus RTU or QCPort network see

NOTICE: Observe connection polarity. See the information on

6.
You are now ready to proceed and connect the unit to the Ethernet LAN
and / or the USB port on your computer. See the instructions in
Accessing the PXG600E on page 31
.
