Configuring Email Reports
The PXG600E has the capability of sending an email when the PXG detects a
native device event or a user-defined device event. Please refer to the device
data map at
www.eaton.com/pxg
for the list of events that are native for
each device. You can attach an event log and / or data log to each event
email.
The PXG600E can also send an email on a periodic basis. Each periodic
status email has an event log and data log attached to it.
The PXG600E uses Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to send each
email.
NOTICE: Properly configuring email reports should be considered
an important step in configuring a Main or a Bus device.
NOTICE: Refer to your IT department or ISP for the proper entries
for your system configuration.
NOTICE: A periodic email will get sent right after setting the daily
time if:
•
One has never been sent for that recipient slot
•
It's been more than 24 hours between the time it was sent
last and the time it's set to be sent
•
Also note that if the daily time is changed for a recipient, an
email is not sent right away but after the number of days
specified in 'Days between periodic emails' field
