Step 1
Use a hobby knife with a #11 blade to cut the
covering over the landing gear wells. Leave
approximately 1/4 inch of covering overhanging the
interior of the gear well.

Step 2
Use a hobby knife to slit the covering approximately
each 1/2 inch and use a sealing iron to seal the
covering to the edges of the wheel well. Trim any
overhanging covering with a hobby knife.

Step 3
Trim the protruding piece of plywood from the rib
next to the gear mounting rails.

Step 4
Use a felt-tipped pen to measure 3 inches from
the base of the retract unit. Cut the gear leg to this
length using a cutoff wheel in a rotary tool.

Step 5
Use a file to make two 1/4 inch long flat spots on the
gear leg, one each on the forward and aft sides.
