CHECKING WEAR

ATTENTION!

The same operations must be carried out on both

arms.

Remove the oil level plug (1).

Apply the brakes once and, while keeping the pressure up, check

thickness "

" between the intermediate brake discs using tool

Minimum "

" value: 5 mm.

ATTENTION!

If necessary, replace brake discs and intermediate

discs on both sides.

REPLACING DISCS

Remove the rocking support (2) from non drive end.

NOTE.

If bushing (3) is to be replaced because it is worn, note

down direction of installation of joint split "

Disconnect steering bar pivots from the steering cases (See

«REMOVING THE STEERING CYLINDER»).

Sling arm (4) to be removed and slightly tension the sling rope.

ATTENTION!

If axle is positioned on an overhaul bench, place a

safety anti-tilting stand "

" under the arm that remains connected

and block wheels, if any.

Loosen and take off the screws (5) and washers (6) that fix the arm

(4) to the main body (7).
