IP Dual Port PBXgateway and Remote System Administrator’s Guide

Saving the Active Image File as the Default

Saving the active image file as the default:

1. Deletes the existing “default.mab” file on the unit

2. Renames the image that is currently live to default.mab

3. A copy of the current live image remains on the unit after the upgrade is complete

4. If the currently live image is “default.mab” the message “Currently running default

image” is displayed

This process requires the system to be rebooted and this will cause active phones to be
taken out of service for a few minutes.

Path:

Gateway (Remote) ->Utilities->Upgrade->Default Image

Type “[Y]es” to make the changes specified and reboot.

Querying Flash File System

Before loading your new image file into the Flash File System, ensure that there is enough
free memory space for it. If the free space is less than 3,000,000 bytes, you must delete
files which are not in used by the system (see

Deleting Outdated Files

on the next page).
