Cisco SCE Platform Utilization Indicators
Cisco SCE Platform Utilization Indicators
The Cisco SCE platform exposes several indicators to allow the network operators to easily monitor
whether it is working within its performance and capacity specifications:
•
•
•
Subscribers Capacity, page B-2
CPU Utilization
•
SNMP
cpmCPUTotal1minRev
and
cpmCPUTotal5minRev
, available for each Traffic Processor.
Refer to the Cisco process MIB for more information.
•
CLI commands
show snmp MIB cisco-process | include cpmCPUTotal1minRev
show snmp MIB cisco-process | include cpmCPUTotal5minRev
It is advisable to consider sizing of the solution when the CPU utilization exceeds 85% regularly at peak
hours.
Flows Capacity
•
SNMP
cscTpFlowsCapacityUtilization
available for each Traffic Processor.
Refer to the cisco-service-control-tp-stats MIB for more information.
•
CLI command
show snmp MIB cisco-service-control-tp-stats | include cscTpFlowsCapacityUtilization
It is advisable to consider sizing of the solution when the flows capacity utilization exceeds 90%
regularly at peak hours.
Subscribers Capacity
•
SNMP
cServiceControlSubscribersInfoEntry
Refer to the cisco-service-control-subscriber MIB for more information
•
CLI command
show snmp MIB cisco-service-control-subscriber
The Cisco SCE 8000 platform supports up to 1M subscribers. You should make sure that the number of
introduced subscribers plus the number of anonymous subscribers stays below this figure.
It is advisable that when subscribers utilization exceeds 90%, special attention should be given and
sizing should be reconsidered.
