Hardware Features

CDE420 Hardware Overview

The CDE420 ships with the following components installed:

•

2 Quad Core Intel Xeon (Harpertown L5410) CPUs @ 2.33 GHz

•

2 onboard copper Gigabit Ethernet NICs, 4-GB CF each (on 420 4A-C and 4A-F models)

•

3 onboard copper Gigabit Ethernet NICs, 4-GB CF each (on 420 4G-C and 4G-F models)

•

2 hot-swappable power supplies

•

32-GB RAM

•

1 8-GB CF + IDE adapter physically attached as IDE primary master

•

1 4-port Gigabit Ethernet adapter inserted into the third slot from the right (looking from rear)

•

1 SAS disk controller inserted into the far-right slot (looking from rear)

•

1 SAS disk controller inserted into the second slot from the right (looking from rear)

•

24 I-TB 3.5-inch SATA drives mounted to bay expanders designed to slide into the front of the
CDE420 chassis (on 420 4A-C and 420 4A-F models)

•

24 450-GB 3.5-inch SAS drives mounted to bay expanders designed to slide into the front of the
CDE420 chassis (on 420 4G-C and 4G-F models)

Note

External drives and bay expanders are shipped separately and are not installed in the CDEs.
