CDE280 Model Migration
CDE280 has 6 sub-prototypes and VDS-IS supports CDE280 prototype migration between those 6
sub-prototypes. This section will explain how to change a CDE280 sub-prototype to another CDE280
sub-prototype.
Note
Configuration on CDE280 box will be reserved with only model change to new one after this process.
In addition to that, the external disk will be formatted and no caches contents will be preserved.
The main difference between the 6 sub-prototypes is the drives.
lists the internal and external drives of each CDE280 sub-prototype.
For example, to migrate from CDE280-2S5 to CDE280-2S10, do the following:
Step 1
Switch off the device by clicking the Power button on the front panel of the device.
Step 2
Pull out all the external drives (24 x 240G SSD) of the device.
Step 3
Push the 24 x 480G SSD drives into the device as the CDE280-2S10 should have the 24 x 480G SSD the
external drive only.
Step 4
Power on the device.
