switches and bandwidth).
• The specific services available to their network (for example,1-800 phone numbers).
Instructions are contained in the NSF IE fields of outgoing Q.931 setup messages in the format shown
in
Figure 3-4 .

NSF Information Elements contain a number of configurable Octet fields. The values entered in these
fields represent instructions contained in outgoing Q.931 Setup messages. Figure 3-4 represents the
format of such instructions. Table 3-12 describes the function of each of the Octet fields.
