GENERAL:

This Technical Publication describes a measure to prevent the displayed message "Close the Lower Cover
of the Device" due to the deformation of the Right Door Assembly.

DETAILS:

Symptom

"Close the Lower Right Cover of the Device" may be displayed.

Cause

The Right Door Assembly may become deformed by being pushed outward overtime due to repulsive
forces from the main body. As a result, the right lower cover sensor flag on the Right Door Assembly
becomes separated from the main body side. This prevents the right lower cover sensor flag [1] from being
detected by the right lower cover sensor which results in the above symptom.
