C)
The steps for responding to the transfer residue ghost of only Black
C-1) As the transfer residue ghost of Black [c] in the sample [D] was confirmed in the step 4), change the
setting values as described in green in Row "1" of the table below, and open and close the front cover
of the main body. This will enable the change of the setting value in Service Mode.

C-2) Check if the ghost image occurs by outputting a PG49 test print in Black and White Mode.
- If the output has improved, restore the setting values in Service Mode that were changed in the steps
1) to 4), and make 10 copies of the test chart. If the output is normal, the operation is completed.
- If the output has not improved, proceed to step C-3).
C-3) Change the setting values as described in Row "2" of the table above, output a PG49 test print in Black
and White Mode and check if the ghost image has occurred.
- If the output has improved, restore the setting values in Service Mode that were changed in the steps
1) to 4), and make 10 copies of the test chart. If the output is normal, the operation is completed.
- If the output has not improved, proceed to step C-4).
C-4) Change the setting values as described in Row "3" of the table above, output a PG49 test print in Black
and White Mode and check if the ghost image has occurred.
- If the output has improved, restore the setting values in Service Mode that were changed in the steps
1) to 4), and make 10 copies of the test chart. If the output is normal, the operation is completed.
