A-2) Check if the ghost image has occurred by outputting a PG49 test print in Full Color Mode.
- If the output has improved, restore the setting values in Service Mode that were changed in the steps 1) to
4), and make 10 copies of the test sheet. If the output is normal, the operation is completed.
- If the output has not improved, proceed with the step A-3).
A-3) Change the setting values as described in the row "2" of the table above, output a PG49 test print in Full
Color Mode and check if the ghost image has occurred.
- If the output has improved, restore the setting values in Service Mode that were changed in the steps 1) to
4), and make 10 copies of the test sheet. If the output is normal, the operation is completed.
- If the output has not improved, proceed with the step A-4).
A-4) Change the setting values as described in the row "3" of the table above, output a PG49 test print in Full
Color Mode and check if the ghost image has occurred.
- If the output has improved, restore the setting values in Service Mode that were changed in the steps 1) to
4), and make 10 copies of the test sheet. If the output is normal, the operation is completed.
- If the output has not improved, refer to FAQ titled "Drum ghost due to advanced life of Drum Unit with high
duty/high CV."
B) The step for responding to the transfer residue ghost of the same color
B-1) Change the setting values as described in blue in the row "1" of the table below in accordance with the
toner color of which the transfer residue ghost was confirmed in the step 6), and open and close the front
cover of the main body. This will enable the change of the setting value in Service Mode. The transfer
residue ghost of Cyan occurs in case of [b] of the sample [C], change the setting value for Cyan in Service
Mode.

chart, Service Mode USUB-YDC is for adjusting all of Y/M/C at the same time, and USUB-KDC is for
adjusting only Black.
