Step 6: Connect a TouchPro™ Workstation to the
Wireless Network (Optional)

The CAE Healthcare TouchPro workstation comes pre-configured for use with the simulator. If you wish

to supply your own computer to run the TouchPro software, the computer must meet the system
requirements and must join the simulator network prior to use.

The simulator and Instructor Workstation form a local area network with static IP addresses. To

incorporate an additional computer to run TouchPro, the computer’s network properties must be
configured to join the simulator network. Contact the system administrator for your institution or CAE
Healthcare Customer Service to configure the network properties, if necessary.

NOTE:

The Instructor Workstation MUST be connected to the simulator network prior to performing

the steps below. See the previous setup step for more information.

To connect the TouchPro software to a different computer than the workstation provided by CAE

Healthcare:

a. Power on the computer to be used for the TouchPro software.

b. On the Instructor Workstation MacIntosh® laptop, from the

Apple

menu,

click

System Preferences

.

The System Preferences screen appears.

c. From the System Preferences screen, click

Network

.

The Network screen appears.

d. From the Network screen, click

Advanced

.

The Advanced screen appears.

e. From the Advanced screen, click

TCP/IP

.

Note the IP Address listed next to the

IPv4 Address

header.

f. Write down the IP Address and click

Cancel

to close the Advanced screen.

g. Close the Network screen.

h. On the computer to be used for the TouchPro software, open a web

browser window.

i. In the address field, enter the noted IP address.
