The quality of the external safety-capable position measuring sys‐
tem, that is, the characteristic MTTF
d
or PFH
d
value, is consid‐
ered in the safety assessment of the self-contained servo-hy‐
draulic linear axis, which, in turn, has to be regarded as sub-sys‐
tem within a safe machine. The responsibility for furnishing proof
of and certifying the safety functions of the machine lies with the
machine manufacturer. The characteristic PFH
d
values of various
safety functions that are required for a general assessment can
be found in the technical data sheet of the self-contained servo-
hydraulic linear axis. In addition, you should thoroughly read the
application manual “Rexroth IndraDrive Integrated Safety Tech‐
nology "Safe Motion" (as of MPx-18)” - R911338920.
Connecting the sensors -B11, -
B12, -B13, -B21 and -B41 (option‐
al)
The sensors –B11, –B12, –B13, –B21 and optionally –B41 of the self-con‐
tained servo-hydraulic linear axis have to be connected by means of plug-in
connection cables M12x1, 4-pin (shielded version) and hooked up to the con‐
trol section. The required connection cables are not included in the scope of
delivery.

document “Mating connectors and cable sets for valves and
sensors in hydraulics“, see also chapter 1.2 "Required and
supplementary documentation" on page 5 .

wiring diagrams, please refer to the related documentation
(electrical wiring diagram) from Bosch Rexroth.

Connecting the valves –Y1, –Y2, –
Y3, –Y4 and –Y7 (optional)
