Lifting accessories are not included in the scope of delivery.
6.2 Storage
The components should preferably be stored in the unopened original pack‐
aging.
The storage time for storage in the unopened original packaging is 6 month
max.
If the components are to be stored longer than 6 months, provide preserva‐
tion like for storage after their demounting (see below).
Requirement ● The storage rooms must be free from corrosive materials and gasses.
● The storage rooms must be dry.
● The storage temperature must be observed. Further information can be
found in the technical data, see chapter 1.2 "Required and supplemen‐
tary documentation" on page 5 .
● Avoid intense light.
● Store the components protected against impacts and sliding and do not
stack them.
Procedure after expiration of the
maximum storage time of 6
months
1. Inspect the components for damage and corrosion prior to their installa‐
tion.
2. Check the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis for proper function
and leaks during a test run.
After expiry of the maximum storage time, we recommend having
the product tested/inspected by your competent Bosch Rexroth
Service.
Following demounting If a demounted self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis is to be stored, it
must be preserved against corrosion for the duration of storage.
Bosch Rexroth recommends the following procedure:
1.
Clean the components, see chapter 10.1 "Cleaning and care " on page
67 .
2. Plug all ports air-tight.
3. Wet unpainted external metal surfaces of the drive unit with a suitable
anti-corrosion agent.
4. Pack the components air-tight together with a desiccant in an anti-corro‐
sion foil.
5. Store the components protected against impacts. For further conditions,
refer to “Requirements” in this chapter.
● In each case, please observe any applicable provisions and laws re‐
garding the handling of substances hazardous to water or to health.
