6 Transport and storage
6.1 Transport
Heavy weight and sharp edges of the self-
contained servo-hydraulic linear axis!
The components of the self-contained servo-
hydraulic linear axis are heavy (>100 kg). In
case of improper handling, they may fall
down and cause serious injuries and/or crush
injuries as the components may e.g. be
sharp-edged, heavy, oily, loose or bulky.
WARNING
● Transport the components to their intended locations using suitable lift‐
ing gear.
● Ensure a stable position during transport to the place of installation.
● Wear personal protective equipment for transporting the components.
● Observe national laws and regulations for accident prevention and safe‐
ty and health at work during transport.
No stability!
Risk of injuries and crushing by a self-con‐
tained servo-hydraulic linear axis toppling
over.
CAUTION
● Transport and store the components only in appropriate packaging.
● Only lift the components at the lifting eyes provided for that purpose.
Transport the components by means of a forklift truck or suitable
lifting gear observing the safety instructions.
● Make sure that the load-carrying capacity of your fork lift truck or lifting
gear is sufficient.
Dimensions and weights Refer to the installation drawing for dimensions and weights.

Please observe the following points for transporting the components:

Properties of the load (e.g. weight, center of gravity, mounting and at‐
tachment points).
The attachment points are shown on the installation drawing.
● Type of attachment or pick-up of the load.
● Make sure that the load carrying capacity of the lifting gear is sufficient
for transporting the components without any risks.
The components may only be transported if the requirements listed in this
chapter are observed. Only the load attachment points shown in the installa‐
tion drawing may be used.
To transport the components in a proper and safe manner, lifting accessories
which are appropriate for the weight must be used.
