CHAPTER 6: The Menu System
• Caller ID Required from List Below to Access ServLINK PC
When selected, this option restricts ServLINK access to numbers that are
specified in an administrator-maintained list. When this option is activated,
only users specified in the list can call in. There are some instances where
Caller ID may not properly transmit the number; it’s important to place test
calls from each number when it is entered into this list.
When you select this, the List of Authorized Caller Locations becomes
active, as well as the three buttons below it:
– Add
Click this button to bring up the Add Caller ID dialog box shown in
Figure 6-18: Enter “Location of Phone Number” (a brief description of
where the caller will be calling from) and the “Phone Number” itself. The
phone number must include an area code; enter it exactly as it appears on
the Caller ID unit’s display, or exactly as shown in the ServLINK’s Event Log
after a test call has been placed to the ServLINK from that phone.

– Change
Highlight an Authorized Caller Location and click this button to change the
Location of Phone Number or the Phone Number itself.

Delete
Highlight an Authorized Caller Location and click this button to delete it
from the list.
When you’re finished, click “OK” to save your changes or “Cancel” to abort them.
