Reserve a Peripheral*
Same as the DOS and Windows 3.x commands (see
Section 7.3.2
).
Cancel Peripheral Reservation*
Use this command to cancel peripheral reservations by sending a Break to the
MPS-VIII. This command does essentially the same thing as the
Send a Break
command. Refer to the entry for that command in
Section 7.3.2
, as well as to
the entry for the Break signal in
Section 7.3.3
. NOTE: In the 24-port version
of the UCTP, this command is used to cancel bidirectional links as well.
Cancel All Print Jobs**
Use this command to cancel all jobs sent from your input port. The same as
the Default DOS and Windows
Cancel Jobs
command (see
Section 7.3.2
).
CAUTION!
If you send this command when an MPS-VIII is not attached to your
computer, the UCTP will crash.
Cancellation of a Running or Waiting Task*
(4-, 8-, or 12-port version)
or
Cancel Task*
(24-port version)
Use this command to cancel a specific job. Same as the Advanced DOS
and Windows 3.x
Cancel Jobs
command (see
Section 7.3.2
).
CAUTION!
If you send this command when an MPS-VIII is not attached to your
computer, the UCTP will crash.
Temporary Bi-directional Link*
(4-, 8-, and 12-port version only)
Same as the DOS and Windows 3.x command (see
Section 7.3.2
). Please
note that the 24-port version of UCTP, as it is shipped, does not include this
command, but you can add it with the String Editor (see
Appendix E
) if you
want to.
