After you have installed MPSWIN95, you can work with your Windows 95
applications as usual. However, MPSWIN95 handles external I/O (printing,
file transfer, etc.) for Windows 95. It does so in the background, so you can
continue working undisturbed.
When you launch Windows 95 a new “MPSWIN 95 Applications” program
group will exist. You will see it listed in the
Programs
submenu in Windows
95’s
Start
-button menu. It contains:
•
UCTP
The User’s Command Transmission Program (UCTP) enables you to
send direct commands to the Multiport Spooler VIII.
•
Config
Config enables you to change MPSWIN95 parameters.
•
Editor
Editor enables you to edit the command file UCTP.PRO used by the
UCTP program.
•
Help
Help is a help file that might assist you in using MPSWIN95 applications.
These programs are briefly described in the following subsections.
