MULTIPORT SPOOLER VIII (4-, 8-, and 12-Port Models)
To transmit a file, use the
/F
switch, as shown in Example 2 below.
“Return_message” is optional. It confirms for the user that the Multiport
Spooler VIII returned an expected message. If the expected message does not
correspond to the one returned by MPS-VIII, a DOS ERRORLEVEL 1 is
flagged. (This feature is useful in batch files used for systems programming.)
The wording of the expected message must be included within double quotes
("), and it must correspond to one of the preprogrammed Multiport Spooler
VIII messages. The entry for
Return Message
on page 35 includes a table of
Multiport Spooler VIII messages.
Example 1:
PSEND LPT1 "@@/P12@" "(OK)"
Example 2:
PSEND COM1:96,N,8,1 "/F=C:\PATH\FILE.EXT"
README.COM

SBRK.COM
Use the SBRK command to send a 250-millisecond Break signal to a serial or
parallel port. You can add a parameter to the SBRK command to specify the
duration of the signal in milliseconds. For example, use the SBRK 500
command to trigger a 500-ms Break signal. You can specify any signal length
from 1 to 9999 ms. If you are using a slow data rate (below 1200 bps), you will
probably require a long (500-ms) Break signal.
SETDTR.COM
Software utility that activates the DTR and RTS signals for serial port COM1,
COM2, COM3, or COM4. For example,
SETDTR COM1
.
