APPENDIX G: Installing and Operating Windows 95 Software

6. Choose the desired UCTP menu level.

7. Choose whether returned messages are verified.

8. Print the configuration.

9. Confirm installation. Windows 95 will be restarted; a program group

called “MPSWIN95 Applications” will appear. If you have chosen for
UCTP to load automatically in Step 5, it will load and run now; simply
close the “W95UCTP – UCTP.PRO” window if it appears.

10. From the Windows 95’s

Start

-button menu, select

Settings

, then Select

Printers

from the

Settings

menu.

11. Select one of your printers.

12. Select

Properties

from the

File

menu.

13. Select

Details

from the

Properties

menu

14. Select the new destination port from the available ports listed in the

Print to the following port

window. (Do

not

select the port to which the

MPS-VIII is attached.)

15. Click on “OK” to confirm your selection.

16. Repeat steps 11 through 15 for each of your remaining printers.

17. When you have finished configuring all of your printers, exit from the

Printers

menu.

This completes the installation process. From this point on, you should be
able to select output (printer) ports from inside your applications.
