Appendix B: Using 384-Well Geometry

BioTek Instruments, Inc.

Perform a 384-Well Plate Read in Gen5™

You will need the

ELx800NB

model to perform these instructions.

(Other ELx800™ models do not support 384-well geometry.)

Start Gen5. Log in, if prompted (Gen5 Secure users).

When the ‘Welcome to Gen5’ screen appears, select

System Menu.

At Gen5’s main screen,

System|Reader Configuration

to open the ‘Reader

Configuration’ dialog:

Add

button to open the ‘Reader Settings’ dialog:

Use the drop-down list in

Reader Type

to select

ELx800

Enter the appropriate

Com Port

The

Baud Rate

ELx800 and may not be changed.

Click

Test Comm.
