7 - Troubleshooting
E01 Te m p e r a t u r e alarm
POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
incubator temperature is too high (00000001) or too low (00000002).
Door was kept open too long.
Room temperature is not within recommended range.
• A i r filters are dirty, restricting fresh air intake.
• R T D , heater, fan, or blower is defective.
CORRECTIVE ACTION(S)
O C h e c k current incubator temperature on LCD Display to see if tem-
perature is still too high or too low.
O M i n i m i z e number and duration of door openings.
O M a k e sure room temperature is within range specified in Section 2 —
Installation and Setup.
O C l e a n or replace air filters.
O C h e c k thermometer vial to see if manual reading agrees with displayed
reading.
O R e s e t manual thermostat (see Figure 43 for location of Reset button).
O 00000001 —At temperatures in excess of 38° C, viability of many organ-
isms may have been lost. Recollection of specimens should be considered.
O 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 —At temperatures below 32° C, detection of some organisms
may be missed or delayed. Subculture of vials should be considered.

Rotor speed is too fast, too slow (00000002), or stopped (00000004).

Something is impeding or jamming movement of rotor.
A vial is not seated in the station.
CORRECTIVE ACTION(S)
O C h e c k for and remove anything that may be impeding or jamming the
movement of the rotor.
O M a k e sure all vials are seated in stations.
O A l i vials should be subcultured.
