Chapter 3. Settings
3 - 2 Setup Method
The following is the procedure for specifying communication settings using the keys on the top panel of this device.

(1) Press the
[  ]
key several times to display the main screen.
(If the main screen is already displayed, skip this step.)
(2) Press the
[  ]
key.
>> The menu screen is displayed.
(3) Press the [  ] or [  ] key to select [2. FUNCTION] , and then press the [  ] key.
>> The function setting screen is displayed.
(4) Press the
[  ]
or
[  ]
key to select the desired item and then press the
[  ]
key.
>> The settings editing screen is displayed.
(5) Use the [  ] key to select the digit to edit, and press the [  ] or [  ] key to
select the desired value.
(6) Press and hold the
[  ]
key to finalize the setting.
>> The setting is saved at this time. Afterward, the function setting screen is
shown again.
(7) If there is another setting to change, return to step 4. If not, proceed to step 8.
(8) Press the [

] key twice.
>> The display returns to the main screen.
Handling Precautions
•
If no key is pressed for 5 minutes, the display automatically returns to the
main screen.
•
After step 5, if the [  ] key is pressed without pressing and holding the
[

] key, the setting will not be saved and the previous setting will remain
in effect.
•
If the setting of C-33 (communication protocol) is changed, this device
must be restarted in order to apply the new setting.

• Settings can also be specified using the MLP-F4Q Smart Loader Package for the
F4Q digital mass flow controller.
