The printer s upports EPC Clas s -1 Generation-2 UHF (C1Gen2) protoc ol enc oding.
Us e the RFID s etup pac ket (Y) to s et the enc ode m ode, s ingulate m ode, write power, read power,
tag s aver, firs t TID pos ition, s tart enc ode pos ition, enc ode z one, enc ode pos ition, tag verify, tag
verify pos ition, and retry enc ode. Refer to the

about eac h of thes e param eters .

Y1. Y RFID Setup Pac ket.
Y2. s top_to_enc ode Stop-to-Enc ode m ode. The printer operates in Stop-to-Enc ode
m ode or Non-s top enc ode m ode. Stop-to-enc ode m ode m us t be
us ed for s erializ ed EPC data. See “
Us ing Option 65 (Serializ ed
EPC Data) ” for m ore inform ation. Options :
0 No. The printer operates in non-s top enc ode m ode
(default). The printer does not paus e (or s top) while
enc oding the RFID inlay.
1 Yes . The printer operates in s top-to-enc ode m ode. The
printer paus es (or s tops ) while enc oding the RFID inlay.
Y3. s ingulate Singulate m ode. Read and us e the TID field to only program that
s pec ific inlay. Enabling s ingulate m ode dec reas es throughput
but m ay prevent adjac enc y is s ues . If enabled, s et
firs t_TID_pos .

Y4. write_power The am ount of power to write (program ) an RFID inlay. Us e the
RFID Printer Setup Utility to determ ine this value. The range is
-15 to 23 and the default is -15.
Y5. read_power The am ount of power to read an RFID inlay. Us e the RFID
Printer Setup Utility to determ ine this value. The range is
-15 to 23 and the default is -15.
Y6. tag_s av er Tag s aver (us e only in non-s top enc ode m ode). Enabling tag
s aver m oves the s upply bac kwards before enc oding the firs t inlay
in a batc h, whic h prevents was te. Options :
0 dis able tag s aver (default). The printer does not m ove the
firs t tag in the batc h bac kwards before enc oding.
1 enable tag s aver. The printer m oves the firs t tag in the
batc h bac kwards to the proper pos ition before enc oding.
Y7. firs t_TID_pos Firs t TID Pos ition (us e only in non-s top enc ode m ode with
s ingulate m ode enabled). The firs t TID pos ition m oves the
‘hots pot’ of the firs t inlay over the antenna s o the TID order c an
be c alc ulated. Us e the RFID Printer Setup Utility to determ ine
this value. The range is
0 to 2000 in 1/203 inc h. 0 is the default.
