Insert and release battery
(frame and carrier versions)
Turn off the battery, if you put it in the holder, or out of the holder (27). The key (23) should be
in the lock (24) and the lock must be unlocked, to insert or release the battery.
Keep the
frame battery
(26) with the contacts facing down and insert it into the battery holder
(27) on the frame tube. Press the battery into the holder’s seat and tilt it to the lock (25), until
the closing mechanism clicks.
Check that the battery is firmly seated and take the key with you. That protects the battery
from falling out during a ride and secures it against misuse by unauthorized third parties, if you
leave the bike.
To remove the battery (26) turn it off and unclose the lock with the key (23). Tilt the battery
from the top bracket (25) and pull it from the lower mount out (27) by harness (28).
To insert the
carrier battery
(20), slide it on the carrier bar with the contacts first, until it clicks
into the holder (19). Check that the battery is firmly seated, this prevents the battery to
become loose and fall out of the holder. Drag the key (23) out of the lock (24). This avoids the
key from falling out and any misuse of the battery by unauthorized persons.
