19.4 Lighting The Fireplace
Step 1:
Make sure the On/Off switch on the surround is in the
OFF position and the thermostat (if installed) is turned all the way
down.

Step 2:
The valve should be in the OFF position.

Step 3:
Gently depress the knob and turn counter-clockwise to
the PILOT position.
Figure 19.2.03:
Step 4:
Push and hold the knob while pressing the igniter. Press
the igniter until the pilot lights - continue to hold the knob for 30
seconds.

is lit for 30 seconds
Step 5:
When 30 seconds has passed, release the button. Wait
60 seconds and then turn the knob to the ON position.

Step 6:
Flip the ON/OFF switch on the surround to the ON
position and turn the thermostat (if installed) to the desired
temperature. This will turn on the main burner.
