Operation

Step 7:

 Turn the hi - lo button to adjust the height of the burner 

flame.

Operating the Optional Fan

Step 1:

 With the mark all the way to left (counter-clockwise), turn 

the dial clockwise until you hear a "click". The fan is now engaged.

If you have the optional fan kit installed, the thermal switch will engage the fan within up to 15 minutes of lighting the fireplace. The fan 

speed is controlled using a dial located behind the control access cover (see 

Section 6.4

). The following instructions describe how to 

adjust the fan speed.

WARNING:

NEVER operate this appliance with the barrier screen 

removed.

The SIT 821 valve is equipped with a 7 day 

Pilot on Demand (POD) timer. If you have 

this version of the fireplace, the pilot will 

automatically shut itself off after 7 days of no 

main burner activity.
