Maintenance

20.6  Replacing the Burner

Before you begin:

• 

Ensure the fireplace is off and cool before servicing

•  Ensure the gas supply is turned OFF and disconnect the 

power supply

• 

Remove the fireplace surround (recommended) or open the 

control access cover. See 

Section 6.4

 and 

Section 16.0 

• 

Remove barrier screen. See 

Section 14.0

• 

Remove glass door. See 

Section 15.0

• 

Remove burner media. See 

Section 18.0

• 

Remove panel set (if applicable). See 

Section 17.0

Step 2:

 Remove the (2) tek screws securing the burner at the 

front corners.

Installation is the reverse of removal. 

Note:

 It is easier to install the burner at eye level as the mixing 

tube must be placed over the orifice and the pin on the air shutter 

has to drop through the opening in the bottom of the firebox (see 

Figure 20.6.05

.

With all parts reinstalled, light the fireplace and verify proper 

operation and flame pattern according to 

Section 20.4

 and 

Section 20.5

 of this manual.

Step 1:

 Remove and retain the wing nut from the air shutter. Slide 

the air shutter all the way to the right.

remove from the fireplace.

 Remove the air shutter from the burner mixing tube. This 

will be installed on the new burner during install.
