HARDWARE DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
TYPICAL SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
Figure 39 shows a typical
configuration. The figure illustrates some of the hardware considerations. The four 0.47 µF
capacitors on DVDD_REG1, DVDD_REG2, AVDD_REG1, and AVDD_REG2 should be placed as close as possible to the pins. VDD1
should either have a separate power supply or should be filtered from the other digital supply using an inductor bead and a resistor. The
same applies to the AV
DD
supply.
Decoupling capacitors are required between each power and associated ground as indicated in the
data sheet. These
capacitors must be placed as close as possible to the pins and in such a way that the current paths do not interfere with one another. All
GNDs need to be connected together in as close to a star connection as the layout allows.
