5.17.2 Coulter pressure (TwinTeC Special)

Adaptation of the coulter pressure to the soil is required to achieve uniform seed placement depth. The
coulter pressure must be set higher on heavy soils than on light soils.

This setting also influences the pressure of the press roller.
The applied pressure depends on the soil type, soil moisture, weather conditions and the crop.

The coulter pressure is adjusted with the central
key (Fig. 79/1).

Insert the central key on the centre spindle (Fig.
79/2) and adjust the coulter pressure by turning
the spindle.
