12.5.3 Changing the metering wheel
This section describes the changing of fine and coarse metering wheels for bean wheels and vice-
versa. The changing of the metering wheels depends on the seeding shaft drive and is described in
2 sections:

Seeding shaft drive with star wheel, see section 12.5.3.1, page 215

Seeding shaft drive with an electric motor, see section 12.5.3.2, page 220.
Changing the metering wheels affects the seed rate.
The seed rate must be calibrated afterwards.
12.5.3.1 Changing the metering wheel - Seeding shaft drive with star wheel
This section describes the changing of the metering wheels when the seeding shaft is driven by a star
wheel.
1. Set the bottom flap lever (Fig. 275/1) in the
group of holes at scale value 8 (Fig. 275/2).

3. Loosen the hexagon socket screw of the
seeding shaft gear wheel (Fig. 276/2).
