5.10 Seed hopper and loading board
The cover (Fig. 43/1) protects the contents of the
seed hopper from water and dust.
The seed hopper is filled from the loading board,
on the back of the seed drill.
The hopper extension enlarges the volume of the
seed hopper, see section "Technical specifica-
tions", page 50.

The charging sieve in the seed hopper protects
the metering wheels from damage caused by
foreign objects in the seed.
When filling manually, the sieve grating serves
as a loading aid. It is forbidden to step onto the
sieve grid.
The clamping device (Fig. 44/1) prevents open-
ing of the sieve without tools and accidental
reaching into the rotating agitator shaft.
It is possible to carry 2 reserve sacks on the
sieve grid when the hopper cover is closed. The
sacks must be evenly distributed on the surface
of the sieve. Each sack can weigh a maximum of
25 kg. The permissible total weight of the seed
drill (see rating plate) may not be exceeded.
