Troubleshooting
To check the system board power supply test points
This procedure checks the power supply test points on the
system board (see See
Figure 16
on page 89). Values outside
the expected range help identify bad assemblies.

Follow the instructions in
“To prepare for internal
assembly troubleshooting”
on page 84.

Connect the negative lead of the multimeter to a ground
point on the oscilloscope.

Connect the power cord, and turn on the oscilloscope.

First check the bulk power supply voltage:

Next, check the supplies coming from the line filter board:
