ADAM 8000 Manual CPU 821x – Rev 1.1
In addition to the components described in the section on the CPU 821x the
CPU 821xDP module is provided with 3 more LEDs and a Profibus
interface.
The LEDs are located in the left half of the front panel and they are used for
diagnostic purposes. The following table shows the color and the
significance of these LEDs.
Name
Color
Description
ER
red
On when an error is detected (Error).
On when the CPU has been stopped.
Flashes slowly (2Hz) at initialization error
Flashes quickly (10Hz) when supply voltage falls
below 18V.
Flashes alternately with RD when the master
configuration is bad (project configuration error).
Flashes simultaneously with RD when
parameterization is bad
RD
green On when a data transfer is active via the V-bus.
Flashes when the self-test result is positive
(READY) and the initialization was successful.
DE
yellow DE (Data exchange) indicates an active Profibus
communication.
The CPU 821xDP is connected to the Profibus system by means of a 9pin
socket. The pin assignment of this interface is as shown:
9pin Profibus D-type socket:
