INTRODUCTION

This appendix covers the universal HART configuration function. An
STT04 can communicate with an unsupported HART device and edit
the following fields; ID tag, device address, message and descriptor.

HART UNIVERSAL CONFIGURATION

Refer to Figure

for an overview of the HART configuration

function. The table that follows details the configuration process.
