Custom ports show up with an “*” before their names in the
Services
list box and the
Rule Summary
list box. Click
Apply
after
you’ve created your custom port.
On completing the configuration procedure for this Internet firewall rule, the
Rule Summary
screen
should look like the following.
Rule 2 allows a “My Service” connection from the WAN to IP addresses 10.0.0.10 through 10.0.0.15
on the LAN.

12.10 Predefined Services
The
Available
Services
list box in the
Edit Rule
screen (see
) displays all predefined
services that the Prestige already supports. Next to the name of the service, two fields appear in
brackets. The first field indicates the IP protocol type (TCP, UDP, or ICMP). The second field
indicates the IP port number that defines the service. (Note that there may be more than one IP
protocol type. For example, look at the default configuration labeled “(
DNS
)”.
(UDP/TCP:53)
means
UDP port 53 and TCP port 53. Up to 128 entries are supported. Custom service ports may also be
configured using the
Customized Services
function discussed previously.
