6.5 Acceptance test
6.5.1 Acceptance test is performed by the representative of the technical control of the
manufacturer to check the compliance of the engines with the regulatory and technical
documentation and this manual.
6.5.2 Engines that were technologically run-in and timed according to the chapters 6.3
and 6.4 with the enclosure of the inspection sheets can be presented for the test.
6.5.3 All parts of the presented engines which are available for the inspection are
visually inspected but without disassembling of the nods and units. External condition of the
engine, completeness, quality of external assembly operations and coatings are checked
during the inspection.
6.5.4 To check the angle of the lead of fuel injection and clearances in the valve operation
mechanism.
Note - One should check the adjustment of the valve operating mechanism at the idle run
of the engine or no earlier than in 15 min after its turn off.
6.5.5 Entry of the fuel in the nozzle barrel one should perform with the help of visual
inspection of the gauge plate which is dipped in the clearance between the nozzle body and the
nut of the fastening of the nozzle barrel.
If necessary the sealing of the nozzle joints should be checked at the motorless stand or
with the help of the device КI-562 during ten minutes.
6.5.6 To check the sealing of the fuel lines joints of the nozzle discharge passage using
the feeding of dry compressed air to the finger of the external discharge fuel line during no
less than 1 minute previously moistened it with motor oil. Appearance of air bubbles is not
permitted.
6.5.7 Engine operation is checked according to the tables 6.7, 6.8, 6.9. Before the checking
engine should be heated to the normal operational temperature.
