4.7.2 Overload relief valve should be adjusted for the opening at the overload pressure in the
cavity

performed by choosing the necessary quantity of the washers.
4.7.3 Operation of the filter signaling indicator should be checked with the feeding of the
current with voltage from 12 to 24 V at the contact screw of the overload relief valve plug 9.
Rod 8 thrust against the plug contact 9 and close electric circuit (is defined by the ignition of
the indicator lamp) at the pressure in the cavity B, equal or less than the pressure of the overload
relief valve opening but no less than:
- 0.14 MPa (1.4 kfg/cm
2
) – for filters 236-1012010-
А3 and 238Б-1012010-А;
-
0.18 MPa (1.8 kfg/cm
2
) –
for filter 238Б-1012010-Б2.
4.7.4 Before assemble of the cap 3 with the filtering element 4 rubber filler of the element
should be lubricated with the oil which is used in the engine lubrication system.
4.7.5 Installing the filtering element 4 it is necessary to coincide edges of the locking cover 2 with
the grooves of the cap flanges 3, to press the spring of the cap and to rotate the cover for 1/8 turn till the
fixation of the cover overhangs in the corresponding grooves of the cap flanges.
4.7.6 Before the installation of the cap 3 with the filtering element 4 surface
В of the filter
housing 1 should be wiped with the cloth and lubricated with the grease Litol-24; filler ring 5 should
also be lubricated with this grease. It is allowed to lubricate with the oil which is applied in the engine
lubrication system.
4.7.7 Cap 3 should be tightened with the moment of force from 22 to 32 Nwm (from 2.2 to 3.2
kgf·m). It is allowed to tighten the cap with the effort of the both hands.
4.7.8 Oil filter should be tested for sealing with the air under the pressure from 0.4 to 0.5 MPa
(from 4 to 5 kfg /cm
2) dipping in water heated to the temperature from 313 to 323 К (from 40 to 50
°C) during 10 sec. Air leakage is not permitted.
It is allowed to test the filter for sealing using the oil during the engine testes under the working
pressure in the lubrication system. Oil leakage is not permitted.
