following requirements:
- carefully wipe joining surfaces of the block, cap and bed for the bearing liners of
the crankshaft;
- after the installation in the bed one should lubricate the working surfaces of the
bearings with clean diesel oil M10D
2 according to the GOST 8581-78;
- caps of the crankshaft bearings should be installed without drunkenness using the
runner slide providing the index number match at the cap and at the bearing on the cylinder block.
Marked side of the cap should face the left row of the cylinders. Numbering of the bearings at the
cylinder block begins from the exposed face;
- Half-washers of the end-thrust bearing of the crankshaft are installed at the necks of the
last crankshaft bearing so that the side with grooves will join the thrust face of the crankshaft;
- thread at the bolts of the fasteners of the crankshaft bearing caps one should lubricate
with clean diesel oil M10D
2 according to the GOST 8581-78;
- tightening of the bolts at the fasteners of the crankshaft bearing caps one should begin
from the middle bearing consequently moving to the both sides;
- before the tightening of the bolts of the last bearing cap one should level the axial
clearance in the crankshaft bearing moving the crankshaft along its axis in the both sides with the
help of mandrel;
- tightening of the bolts on the crankshaft bearing caps and stretching bolts one should
perform in accordance with the torque, specified in the chapter Engine assembling; tightening of
the bolts of the caps fasteners one should perform
with the torque 421-461 N*m (43-47 kfg*m) consequently in two steps (previous and final
tightening), and stretching bolts with the torque 89-118 N*m (9-12 kfg*m), to seal the joining
surface of the head of stretching bolt to the cylinder block one should use sealant Anaterm 505Д,
sealing the neck of the bolt (at that washer should not be installed);
- after the tightening of all crankshaft bearings crankshaft should rotate even without
sticking applying torsion torque to 10
N.m (1kfg m) (from the manual effort, applied to the
adjusting pins of the flywheel);
- axial clearance in the crankshaft bearing should be in the range 0.101...0.345 mm
2.8.18 Before the installation of the kit of pistons with connecting rods and rings at the
engine one should check the accuracy of the assembly of the nod and location of the piston ring
joints. Joints of the adjusting rings should be reamed the other way round and joint of the surge
tank at the oil-control ring should be located at the other side of piston ring joint.
