• Never open the drum shutter to avoid damage to the photosensitive
drum.
• Do not expose the Laser Printer cartridge to direct sunlight or strong
room light.
• Complete the installation procedure for the Laser Printer cartridge as
quickly as possible to avoid damaging the cartridge.

Hold the Laser Printer cartridge as shown below and shake it
seven to eight times to free the toner.

With the cartridge on a flat surface, press down on the cartridge
with one hand. With the other hand, grasp the end tab of the
sealing tape and pull the tape straight out horizontally.

• The tab may break if you pull up instead of straight out.
• Make sure the top of the cartridge is oriented as shown above to prevent
damage to the cartridge roller or drum.
