Views of Status Monitor
The Status Monitor exists in four different forms, a minimized window,
an icon (Windows 3.1x only), a Taskbar button (Windows 95 only) and a
maximized window.

Mini-window view

Control menu button
The control menu pops up at a click of this button. The control
menu consists of the following commands.
Maximize
Opens the Max Window of Status Monitor
Move
You can move Mini-window using the keyboard
Close
Closes Status Monitor
Change Printer
Brings up the Printer menu
Printer Setup
Brings up the Setup dialog for the current default
device.
Pause
Pauses the printer (available only when bi-
directional connection is present.)
Resume
Resumes from a pause or off-line state (only bi-
directional)
Reset
Causes the printer to reset (only bi-directional)

Printer icon button
The icon changes to reflect the printer and/or job status. Clicking
on the printer icon opens the Max Window of Status Monitor with
the General tab active.
The table in the next page shows the respective states of the icon.
