Required Definitions
When printing, you must select a Paper, an Application, and a Print Line for each job. In
addition, a Neptune imposition file must be defined and associated with each job through
a queue on FreeFlow Print Server.
Note
Imposition is the setup process of arranging pages on one or more frames on paper so
that the correct page order comes out when the printed sheets are cut, folded, and
assembled. For continuous feed printing with FreeFlow Print Server, job pages are imposed
using an imposition file that you create using Neptune, a software tool. For more
information on Neptune, please contact your Xerox analyst for assistance.
While the Paper, Application, and Print Line definitions and the imposition file can be
selected by operators, they must first be defined by an Advanced Operator or higher:
• The Definitions view on the CiPress
™
UI lets an Advanced Operator define papers,
applications, and print lines that appear as selections in Run view menus.
• The Neptune application lets an Advanced Operator define an imposition file that
can be loaded to FreeFlow Print Server and selected for a queue.
